Compex WPM530RJ: Credit Card-Sized Wi-Fi 7 with 10GBase-T
Following the successful launch of JustWiFi⁷™-Fiber (WPM530), Compex Systems (Compex) introduces the newest addition to the driverless JustWiFi⁷™ family: the JustWiFi⁷™-Cat8 (WPM530RJ).
Designed as a high-performance Wi-Fi 7 platform, JustWiFi⁷™-Cat8 is essentially a high-throughput miniature Access Point (AP) in a credit card-sized form factor. It can operate in AP or client mode, or as a Mesh AP supporting EasyMesh. The 10GBase-T copper interface provides 10Gbps Ethernet connectivity to the host system. This simplifies Wi-Fi 7 integration to edge computing, AI servers, drones, robots and industrial automation.

The “Driverless” nature of the JustWiFi⁷™ series redefines wireless integration. While the original JustWiFi⁷™-Fiber (WPM530) simplifies integration to hosts with SFP+ interfaces, the new Cat8 version offers 10Gbps Ethernet backhaul via RJ45. This allows developers to add Wi-Fi 7 capabilities to any host, particularly to non-Qualcomm host platforms without any software driver work.
“By eliminating wireless integration complexity from the host board, JustWiFi⁷™ allows for a faster time-to-market,” says Jonathan Ho, Managing Director of Compex Systems Pte Ltd. “Designers can now choose between fiber or copper interfaces without compromising on Multi-Link Operation (MLO) capability or enterprise-grade performance.”
Powered by Qualcomm’s IPQ5322 ‘Miami’ SoC and QCN6274 ‘Waikiki’ radio chipset, JustWiFi⁷™-Cat8 delivers:
- True tri-band Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) performance: 2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz Concurrent.
- Massive Throughput: An aggregate maximum throughput of up to 9.3Gbps.
- USB-C PD Support: It can be powered by a 25W phone charger.
- Advanced Features: Support Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for low latency and throughput aggregation, acknowledgement (ACK) time-out adjustment for long range and EasyMesh compatibility.
